Perth Trip – Day 5
Today is day number 5! Which is, sad to say, time to go home! Our flight is at 2 plus so in the morning right after having breakfast we chiong went to do some final shopping. Their shops opens at 8.30am. Which gave me 2 last hours to shop all i want. Haha.
This model/statue is of a high earning street performer – if im not wrong.
Here we are at Perth International Terminal!
Our last meal in Australia.
Its time to say bye bye :(
For the very last time, very nice sky. LOL.
5 hours in the plane nothing to do so camwhore lor.
Yes! Finally got dad to pose with the ‘v’ sign. At first he didnt want to. But mum and i forced him. Haha! Mum and i were so excited until we knocked into each other’s heads and laughed so loudly.
The meal very nice leh! Pipping hot and nice! I love the potato salad and ham especially.
LOL. Know who is this person not? Bears such uncanny resemblance to me sia. Haha. Its my passport photo la. Its really time to change one liao. I’ve been procrastinating it. Custom officers took longer time than usual to check my face. LOL. This one i think is taken at least 7 years ago. 2 ponytails, round like fishballs spectacles and thick like bushes eyebrows.
HAHAHA.
Oh ya, i have a very embarrasing encounter on the way back. I think i forgot to zip up after i went to the toilet in the plane. And its only when i reach home, getting ready to bathe then i come to know of it! OMG. Super malu can. Luckily i always carry my big sling bag in front of me so no one really saw i guess. Its damn super malu la. Always double check before you leave the cubicle la =X
Haha. That sort of sums up my whole Australia Trip which i enjoyed myself tremendously, to the max and whatever till i didnt want to come home at all.
I want to go again next year!
Thailand’s coming up next!
=)
Perth Trip – Day 4
We are going to Margaret River today! The temperature today is -1000 degrees celsius. Super wasted. If i had known it would be so cold (the whole day i never even take off my jacket), i would have brought the other jacket (the khaki coloured one) instead. I guess it was partly because of the rain. It rained on and off the whole day. Because the journey to Margaret River takes about 4 hours, we have to set off at 7.30am. I have to wake up so super early la. Why? Because i take the longest to bathe and prepare. Hahaha!
At first i thought Margaret River is a place with a super huge river but it is actually a town. There are a lot of vineyards there which we visited too. On the way (of the 4 hour drive) there and back (another 4 hours), we stopped by certain places with picturesque views!
Mr Wind styled alot of new hairdos for me today =X Everywhere we went, it was just super windy! Windspeed on that day is estimated to be 500km/hour. Haha!
Uncle Dominic is very nice. Because he knew that it is going to be an extremely long (cold) journey, he prepared tidbits, hot drinks, soft drinks, fruit juice etc for us!
1) Mandurah City
2) Busselton Jetty
Take one picture with proper hair also difficult leh. LOL. Saw the super long jetty? It measures almost 2km long! It is the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. Also, notice the tracks next to me? It was for the train! But i think they stopped the train service already.
On the way from place to place, we saw a lot of sheeps (why wildlife park dont have sheeps ah?) and cows grazing the fields. Really a lot, i think got hundreds or even thousands that we saw out there. I tried to take pictures of it but the car’s speed was too fast. This picture above is the best one i have of the sheeps.
3) The Margaret River Dairy Company
Cheese tasting! I love the port cheddar cheese the best. We bought home one and everybody who tried it absolutely loved it! Im gonna see if singapore has it – we finished it up in a week . I think have la hor? Try cold storage. Haha.
Very nice flowers outside the cheese cottage! Daisies and the other one i dont know what. I think i saw rambutans on our way out too.
4) Vineyard A
We had another wine tasting session here.
See the sky? Going to rain soon.
My photography skills damn good now. The place is so beautiful isnt it?
Less than 5 minutes later – rain liao.
Fireplace and i saw the chimney outside!
We then had lunch at this little eatery called Tuck the Shop. Thats mum’s super-sized chicken burger and my tuna sandwich. I can also only manage half of my sandwich. The hot chocolate very nice but too sweet. Dad’s pie already in his tummy before i remembered to take pictures. LOL.
5) Vineyard B
I like this pic.
(While hugging the tree)
Mum: I knew you were going to hug that tree.
Me: HAHAHA!
We sounded/pulled/ringed the bell leh. So fun! And its super loud.
Fireplace again! This time round the fire stronger.
Ya i know i act cute la. LOL.
Roses! Do you know why roses have to be planted in front of every row of vines? This is to allow insects carrying diseases to pass on the diseases to the roses instead of the vines.
This is the grandest, nicest and biggest vineyard among all that i’ve been to.
On the way to another place, we saw cows again! Dad asked uncle Dominic to stop aside and initially we wanted to go down and cross over the road to look and take pictures of the cows but after some discussion we thought it was pretty dangerous so we decided to take the pictures from the mini van.
6) Scenic Spot A
The waves hit the rocks so violently that lots of foam is left on it leh.
Yes, i conquered and climbed up the ’slope’ of rocks to take all these pictures.
The seaview here super fantastic. You see the waves splashing against the rocks ah you go ~wahhhhh~. Super big waves and lots of people come here to wakeboard (Is that the name of the sport? That you hold a board and use the waves to transport you that one).
Cool ah this picture.
And when you stand there (where dad is standing) and look at the view its really breath-taking.
See la, Mr Wind, i want to self-take one picture also cannot. Let me think of a name for this hairstyle. Ah! I know! Called Mee Goreng! Fried Fly all over the place!
WAHAHAHAHA!
So damn nice.
It was after we left that place that it hit me i can actually video it up. Ah, wasted. It would defintely be better than seeing the photos.
Before we left the place, we went to the No Mangoes (ladies la, haha, see previous post) first. Wah seh, metal seat sia! Haha. OMG la. LOL. (Sidetrack a bit) And ya, the first thing in the morning we all have to go to the toilet right and the hotel’s one so damn cold leh, sit until my goosebumps all come out. So this one is made of metal, dont need me to describe also know how cold liao right? Eh, put tissue paper on top also cannot tahan leh =X
7) Scenic Spot B
After a windy-ful day, i learnt how to take pictures with the wind! Tilt your head accordingly! LOL.
Stay in these houses very shiok hor, seaview leh.
Dinner is next (see the steam from the pipping hot dishes)! After eating exactly the same set meals for 2 days, we had ala carte orders today! We had fish slice beehoon (eh they add century eggs inside de leh, quite nice!), lobster, scallops with broccoli, fried rice with chicken cubes, salted egg yolk alaskan crab and last but not least seafood horfun! Horfun is the nicest, although the rest also very nice.
Yeah, dad bought another bottle of white wine today. And my face turned into 100 tomatoes soon after.
It was really a terribly cold day, not that im really complaining about it. But when we were in the mini van, all windows closed, with jackets on and so on, still super cold leh. And some roads in Australia have no street lights, which made me a little afraid while sitting in the van. Cars travelling at high speed somemore ma. Have to on high beam la. Very a little scary la.
Hmm i personally feel that Margaret River not really that interesting, journey very long also, to and fro 8 hours leh. However, i do love the sceneries alot!
Australia is so beautiful!
Perth Trip – Day 3
Today is a city-tour day and we went to quite a number of places. The photos i took for the day was almost half of the 752 photos altogether.
Of course, we always start the day off with breakfast!
Dad’s hardboil eggs are so cute! Their eggs are also like smaller in size compared to ours.
Photo is taken while waiting for uncle Dominic to pick us up at 9am. We were early so decided to sit outside to enjoy the cold weather! Haha, asked dad to pose with the ‘v’ sign but he didnt want to.
1) Winery/Vineyard
Superb view isnt it?
Nice sky.
Mr Wind styled my hair for me. That strand of hair can stay there without any hairspray at all =X Anyways, its very cold there! Hee, luckily i found and bought the white jacket (i like!) at Myers while shopping on day 2!
We saw a house there and talked about how nice it was to be living in a house with such a view, facing the lake. But ah, have to drive super far to go to the supermarket etc and no entertainment in the surroundings too. So maybe stay for a few hours can la hor? Haha.
2) Orchard
As i’ve mentioned in the earlier post, it was the season of mandarin oranges and oranges so thats what we’ll be seeing!
Before we went up the hills, we were treated to some orange juice but i forgot whats the special thing about the juice we drank already.
Meanwhile, nice flowers outside!
Rose with morning dew on it.
Baby’s breath! So lovely, i like!
Toilet of course have no mangoes? Read again – its ’no man goes’. The toilet is for ladies! So creative right? Haha!
Tada! Its time to look at the fruits!
See how big it is? This is like only 1/10 of it maybe?
Dad plucked picked up an orange and ate it on the spot (the third picture). Haha.
Halfway through, super hot sia. The sun shine like nobody’s business. Can see our shadows? LOL.
See the slopiness of the orchard? At least 35 degrees slope sia. Dad scared that mum will fall so hold her hand and help her take her bag first. So loving can? I wonder who can hold my hands? =X
Panting sia – after all the climbing. Dont see like very even like that. Its the opposite la.
HAHA.
I wonder if its the soil that is sticky or the soles of my sandals that is sticky. After the whole climbing up and down there, the thickness of the soil on my sandals is like 5cm thick. I was too busy trying to get rid of the soil (which is super difficult to) that i never take a picture of it. No lah actually its the soil lah, cause everyone has the same problem as me. Haha.
3) The Margaret River Chocolate Company
We just came here to buy chocolates. They have very delicious ones here! A lot of flavours too!
Before we left, we saw cows grazing the field! Nice sky by the way.
4) Winery/Vineyard
These vines are older than me leh, more than 100+ years old already! Cool man they can grow till like that.
Finally saw a botak tree! Nice sky.

Yeap those are for growing grapes. But sadly, the season for grapes is in January, which is summer! I really like this picture leh, its my desktop and my handphone’s wallpaper.
We had a wine tasting session here! We tried both red and white ones. Haha i didnt know anything about wines, i just had sips out of dad’s glass for fun. And people usually swirl the glass around and smell its aroma before drinking but i didnt leh i treated it as if im drinking orange juice – but of course sips la. Haha. I think the wine person behind the counter tsk tsk me for not appreciating the wine before i drink it. LOL. Everyone agreed that the white one is nicer so dad bought one bottle for dinner that night.

Yes its lunch next! See that humongous amount of fries? I’ve sworn off fries for 1 month from that moment onwards.
5) Caversham Wildlife Park
We had a zoo guide bringing us on a tour inside and explaining and introducing the animals to us. I’ll try to remember as much as i can what the zoo guide told us.
Pictures here will only consist of my face la cause dad and mum had been to here before and taken all photos liao so they just asked me to take all i want!
Hehe.
Laughing Kookaburra.

Grey Currawong.
I forgot what is the name of this animal but its a relative of the kangaroos.
Kangaroo!
Thats my stubby fingers feeding the kangaroo.
We were looking for the joeys (young of the kangaroo) in the pouches. And we found a few! Hee! See the leg of joey sticking out?
Theres so many of them!
Im one happy girl.
Parrots, if im not wrong.
Baby cow. So cute can, it was trying to lick our hands through the fence.
Guinea Pigs.
Rabbits.
Its so cuddly (its a black rabbit im carrying if you cant see)! Im seriously considering adopting a rabbit now. But i have to do my research first – cannot be an irresponsible pet owner!
Llama.
The zoo guide gave me somemore feeds to feed him/her. Then dad asked me to pose for a photo, so i looked at the camera while holding my palm towards it. I also not sure why dad took a longer time than usual to take this picture so i just kept my focus on the camera. I can feel the Llama finishing up the feeds pretty quickly and all of a sudden it licked upwards my arm leh. At first i thought it just licked for fun but all of a sudden it bit me leh (see the picture above)! Luckily i pulled away quickly enough, if not i think a chunk of my arm will be bit off =X When i pull my arm away my top was still in its mouth leh – not as in bite off a piece of my clothing but my arm off its mouth but my clothing still there. Painful sia, bite until i orh cheh leh. I think its really hungry though. After that the zoo guide came to ask if im alright, i said i am but before we left the zoo guide told the Llama that he/she wont be getting any more food for the day because it bites. I feel bad la, like its already so hungry but i cause it not to have any more food. And because im stunned from the bite, my face super duper unglam so i had to crop it off. Haha.
Thats right, thats my orh cheh, until now, as im typing this, it is still on my arm. Dont see its like so small like that but painful leh.
Donkey.
Pig.
When i was taking this picture, i overheard a lady exclaiming: who on earth will want to take a picture of the pig?! Im not sure if shes referring to me but hello, pig also very cute ok? Dont discrimate against them lor. Hear her accent know where she came from liao.
Boo!
Piglets.
Bachelor kangaroos. I think they will fight amongst themselves over females, thats why theres not a single female in there – if i never remember wrongly.
Wedge-Tailed Eagle.
This eagle feeds on carcasses because its too slow to catch a live one. Its really huge when it spreads its wings.
While waiting for the wombat to be brought out.
I regret not taking this picture! Think its because the wombat was being brought out soon after. Then i forgot all about it.
Wombat!
Shes called Big Baby, because she behaves like one.
Dont know whats the name of them. But they looked like dogs and look like wolves too so i gave them a name wolfdog.
How many can you see? When we first look, we couldnt see them. They are super good at camouflaging themselves.
Bats.
Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby.
Pink Cockatoo.
Koala!
So cute.
They are called koalas. Not koala bears. They are not bears.
We can only use the back of our hands to touch them, because they are very sensitive animals (our palms secretes oil and so on). Even their leaves (food) also cannot have any smell if not they wont eat – i think. Even though you see so many of them there, theres only one on duty per day. Too bad we couldnt carry them, i so very much wanted to.
Spotted Quoll.
Tasmanian Devil.
See how it roars?
Thats more or less about the wildlife park. I didnt take pictures of all the animals because some of them are hiding in a corner/hole.
6) Lake
We came to this beautiful lake.

Swans!
This is when my camera died (no batt) on me. Luckily i still have my handphone to take the remaining pictures. If not i’ll curse and swear like mad.
7) Kings Park and Botanic Garden
Those trees in the first picture were special ones – but i forgot what already. And hey i never saw those kind of roots before (second picture)!
In memory of soldiers who died during the war.
Like that also can write.
Beautiful and special plants they have there!

Ginseng (look-alike) trees!
See la, i have nobody to hold hands and take picture with again =(
HAHAHA!
Anyway, ever wondered why the pictures is either just me, mum and me or mum and dad? Its because mum says her photo-taking skills are terrible la. Which isnt true at all! Haha. She thinks too much la.
Both pictures are taken at 5 plus in the evening. Got moon liao leh and so dark liao.
We are off to dinner next!
And because the dishes we had on the first day are so nice, we went back to the same restaurant and ordered exactly the same dishes again!
But under the recommendation of uncle Dominic, we tried their alaskan crab with salted egg yolk.
Sedaplicious.
This is the white wine that dad bought earlier.
At night, nothing to do so went to the casino again. Before going back to the hotel, felt hungry so bought a cup of hot chocolate. Mum bought coffee.
Its so damn super cold at night. And i can actually drink hot drinks in the open! Those who know me knows that i Never ever drink hot stuffs (even when i cough i still drink cold stuffs), because it makes me perspire. See now i can hold 2 cups and still feel cold. Haha.

***
My personal thoughts:
Its so nice to be able to walk everywhere wearing a jacket lor. You wont ever catch me wearing any jacket in singapore anytime. If i can even walk outside in the open air for 5 minutes without perspiring steal laugh (tou xiao) liao. Really la, im not being exaggerating leh. Its just so nice to be able to enjoy such walks (like in the botanic garden) without perspiring. See, even though i didnt wear jacket in the wildlife park but at least i didnt even perspire in the hot afternoon sun leh. Maybe only i know how it feels.
***
Hah!
Anyways, this is the end of day 3 already!
I really love this day man. Especially at the orchard and the wildlife park!
Haha.
I’ll be back with day 4 soon!
Perth Trip – Day 2
Its breakfast time! But its american breakfast instead of international if im not wrong, because dont have fried bee hoon/mee/congee. So cute leh, breakfast got mushrooms. I didnt try the bacon (that plate belongs to mum) till the 3rd day and woolala its fabulous! Damn love the scrambled eggs too.
***
Dad came to the table with a super chao tar piece of bread.
Mum: Why your bread so black?
Dad: Ya lor, i also dont know.
Me: Must be over tanned in the toaster liao la.
Dad: Ya hor, i forget to apply sunblock lotion for the bread.
Mum & Me: WAHAHAHAHAHA!
***
After breakfast, we were about to go up to our rooms to take our jackets and set off to our first destination when we decided to go out and have a feel of the temperature. Initially wanted to stand outside for awhile test temperature but it turned into a photo taking session.
Very cold you know. I think its because its early morning and no sun yet. Less than 5 minutes outside, my hands cold until like it has been in the freezer for 30 minutes already. My hotel surroundings very nice hor? I like leh! Got a lot of seagulls flying around also! The one that i took knew that we were taking photos of it and it really stood there and let us take leh! Must be in the modelling field la (it turned its head in different directions). Hahaha. The last pic that shows a building is the Holiday Inn Hotel that im staying at.
(Please pardon my same poses, i really dont know how to pose. But if just stand there straight also very funny right? Haha. So i guess you will be seeing lots of same poses for the next following days.)
So, the first place we went to for the day is the Fremantle (Market). It only opens (i only know for market, the rest im not sure because never explore) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Again, we took the train from Burswood station to the Fremantle station. Pretty long journey, its like from Tanah Merah to Clementi. Once there, we waited at the bus-stop for the bus to arrive. That bus is the special Fremantle Cat bus. It is free and it fetches you through every point of the Fremantle. The one in the first pic shows the first stop. If i never remember wrongly, they promised that waiting time will be maximum 10 minutes only (its true!) and they encouraged you to not drive and to take the bus. Just take note of the places that you wanted to go and press the stop (like spore buses) button before your stop. There are around 20+ stops. If you take the bus without stopping/dropping off at any point and go right back to starting point, the whole journey takes 45 minutes.
LOL. The 3rd picture – thats us standing at the entrance of the Fremantle Market (stop 11), looks (it is actually, cause i have to resize it) super distorted. The bag dad is carrying is for us to put our barang barangs in (so that the many shopping bags wont get lost and our hands wont be so tied up – but poor dad had to carry the bulk of the shopping). The ice cream very nice leh. I chose the lemon sorbet flavour (on the right) while dad chose the something-boys berry flavour (on the left). Cute names they named their ice-cream can.
Inside, it has stalls selling clothes, accessories, ornaments, cooked food, (super fresh) fruits and vegetables and many more! It was pretty crowded, i guess it being on a sunday. We went to the clothes, accessories etc part before moving on to the fruits and vegetables part – which i am more interested and super excited about. I squealed with delight and was grinning from ear to ear when i saw the fresh strawberries, together with other fruits.
Strawberries very fresh leh! It says on the cardboard freshly picked! Of course i bought some of it back to eat at the hotel (chosen by me! not all packed up in a box!). Wa i really never see such fresh strawberries in my life before. So happy :) Those from our local supermarkets compared to these is really tian yuen zhi bie (think its because of the airfreight/transportation here and there so when it reaches us not so fresh liao).
See the super cute mini carrots? Oh ya, they cut the fruits on the spot (see the picture below) to let you try also leh, so you can decide whether you like it or not.
When we were there, it was the season of mandarin oranges and oranges and so there were plentiful of them. Thats dad choosing fruits – 2kg for A$4, any fruits within the category. We bought mandarin oranges and apples.
Ok, the next picture below is specially taken for butt.
Butt, see liao hor? You’ll understand why this picture when i see you next week! Hahaha!
When we came out, we saw a dog lying at the entrance there (dogs not permitted inside). Sooooooo cute! Its time for lunch next. Uncle Dominic told us that theres this very famous place selling fish and chips and that if we want we should go and try it. We walked all the way there (stop 20-something i think) and got lost in the middle of it and we had to ask for directions. LOL. Eh by the way, the Australians are super friendly, polite and nice people leh. Not once but alot of times that i’ve encountered. Finally we arrived at Cicerello’s! True enough, the crowd there super overwhelming! Uncle Dominic also told us that their fries servings super huge, so what he said we can do is to order 1 set of fish and chips and an additional of 2 fish slices. We ordered 3 sets to share among 7 people. Lo and behold, the fries really a lot leh, somemore is the fat and thick kind, not Mac’s that thin kind. Of course we couldnt finish the fries (but very nice fish!). Another thing is that if you want sauces, you will have to pay for it, they dont give it to you free. That fizzy lemon drink super refreshing after all that oiliness!
Super nice environment next to Cicerella’s! Next to the sea leh. And there are lots of seagulls (flying in the sky) again!
I love this pic to bits. Its one of my favourites. My photography skills good right? HAHAHA!
The seagulls clever leh, saw that people finished up and left already they immediately swopped down and eat the food leh. So, we walked to the bus-stop to catch the bus back to the train station, because we have to rush to our next shopping destination (remember shopping closes at 5pm?). The next nearest bus-stop is the one at the ship-wreck museum. So while waiting for the bus, took pics again. The anchor that im posing with is a real one leh! 100+ years old already. The sky there very nice hor? I fell in love with their sky leh, really nice until beyond words lor. Over the next few posts you will find me repeating this over and over again =X LOL.
So, its back to Perth station (think our City Hall)! There got a lot of shopping leh (think Raffles City and Suntec)! Nice flowers they have too. I thought since its winter all trees will be botak but thats not the case leh. So the very first shop mum brought me to (she’s been there before so she knows where) is to Roc Candy!
Just nice when we reached there, they were also just nice starting to demonstrate the process of making the candy from scratch. Lucky me! Due to the time constraints (so many other things i want to buy), i did not stay there till the end. But i was satisfied already! I’ve also tried on their freshly made and pipping warm candy on the spot!
A little past 5, we caught the train back to Burswood.
I really like the wind tight (feng jing) of my hotel leh. Anyways, because we were still very full from lunch, we had our dinner later in the night.
For dinner, we went to a food court next to the casino. International food there i think. Quite a lot of choices. The laksa not bad leh! Except that they didnt use as much coconut as our local version. And they dont call it laksa, they called it egg noodle. The other dish of fried noodles so-so only but their stir-fried vegetables nice! Fried pork also nice! All 3 of us shared because we were really still not hungry at that time. See that Yeo’s can drink? it costs A$3.20 leh! Wah can buy 4 cans in singapore liao. Their drinks sold outside is very expensive, so do bring your own bottled water.
***
Halfway through eating.
Dad: Ah girl you want the mimosa?
Me: Huh? Mimosa? Its the plant right? The shy plant? Han xiu cao ah?
Me : You mean samosa right?
Mum and i: HAHAHAHA!
***
My memory good hor? Can rememeber these conversations. LOL.
After that went to the casino for awhile (there really no night life). Sat playing the electronic roulette with mum. I think its the cheapest bet i’ve ever played before. A$1 per bet. Cruise’s one at least $25. Both of us lasted very long with a A$50 note. Overall for the whole trip i won A$60, but i could actually bring home A$170 de leh. All because i lost during the last 2 days. Haha, then drop till A$60 i dont want to play liao. At least must win some from there right?
This is our room. Its kinda big, but my camera cant take it all in so i took some parts of the room only.

I like this jacket leh! But its too hot to wear in the day (with the sun somemore), at night its perfectly useful and cosy but since theres no night life we wont be out so if we wont be out no chance for me to wear already. I actually brought another one but i didnt like it so i die die also must bring this one out =X Haha. No chance to wear and take photo so camwhore in the room lor. Its available at Winter Time. It also comes with a belt across the waist which i had forgotten to put on.
Its time for supper!
My beloved strawberries!
See how fresh and long it is? Super crunchy la. Singapore’s one is soft. Oh ya, remember to bring lipstick lipice with you when you go overseas, especially if its during winter. Whenever we are overseas, we tend to drink a lot lesser water than what we do at home. At first dad ask me to go and buy 1 but i stubborn thought i drink enough water to replenish myself can liao. But cannot leh (also that i never drink enough water), my lips cracked a little and so when im enjoying my strawberries got a little pain discomfort (on my lips) la. LOL.
Yeap, after that im off to dreamland, to prep myself for the next day of adventures (my most favourite day of the trip)!
Thats all for day number 2!
Perth Trip – Day 1
As all of you already know, im back in the sunny (im perspiring already la) Singapore!
I dont think i am able to blog about the whole trip in 1 post because of the many places we went to so i will break it up day by day. And because of the large number of photos, it will be impossible to post everything up but i will try to post as many as i can!
The day before the trip, i cant sleep you know. Im just too excited! After all its been 10 years since i last went to Australia. My flight is at 9.55am and we touched down in Australia around 2.30pm. For this trip, we went to Perth (Western Australia) but we stayed in Burswood (suburb of Perth). Uncle Dominic (our tour guide) came to pick us and drove us to our hotel – Holiday Inn. The moment i stepped out of the airport, a gush of cold wind welcomed me! Super excited leh! Haha! Its not that cold, just normal aircon temperature in the open.
See the van with the trailer behind? Its for putting our lugguages. I dont think i saw this in Singapore before. Out of the 5 days we have 3 days of free and easy while the other 2 days are city tours. So after we went to our rooms, we went to take the train to Perth city. The station is about 10 minutes walk from our hotel. Their roads super no cars leh.
Thats the Burswood station. Their train station open air de leh, something like our bus-stops. Their trains have seats called the Priority Seats, meant for pregnant ladies and children. And above these seats they have this poster with a baby that is so cute that i wanted to show you all but i forgot to take a pic of it.
Because its winter, the days are short, nights long so the last 2 pics you all see looks pretty late le right? Actually its only like 5 plus leh. For dinner, we went to this restaurant that uncle Dominic recommended to us, called Northbridge something something. If you going to Perth and wants to try that, tell me, i can give you the namecard/address, cause dad has grabbed some. The dishes there are super fresh, delicious and cheap!
We had soup, lobsters, scallops, snow fish (xue yu), chicken, tofu with seafood, vegetables with complimentary dessert (coconut/yam with sago) thrown in. All those above are actually a set meal for 6 people. With A$6 added, all 7 of us can have 2 scallops each! The meal costs about A$300+ so divided by 7 = A$40+ per person! Its really cheap isnt it? We went to take a stroll after dinner because shops in Australia closes at 5pm. The temperatures at night are freezing.
See Hogs Breath Cafe? (Eh ms shoot i saw coffee club there also leh! But like different brand de la.) LOL. Oh and guess whats the gigantic ce-cream for? (Hint: Im not standing in front of an ice-cream parlour!)
After that, we took the train back to Burswood and decided to walk a round in the casino before returning to the hotel. Alas, my footwear not appropriate so i was denied entry. So the rest went in while my mum and i waited outside. I actually wore a covered shoe, similar to the white one which gave me blisters but this one is much softer and lasts longer before giving me problems (actually its because that day de blisters havent really recover). So i had no choice but to switch over to my favourite pair of footwear! Luckily i brought extra. If not i have to wear the hotel’s slippers out =X
So we returned to the hotel around 8+ and i fell asleep lying on the bed while waiting for my turn to bathe. I was so damn tired. Remember i didnt sleep the night before? Haha. These pretty sums up the first day.
I’ll be back soon with the remaining exciting days!
Lalalalala
Im back!
Though i wish i am not.
I had so much fun over at Perth that i didnt want to come home at all.
Not to mention i had an ang mo boyfriend on the third day!
Wahahaha!
I took a total of 752 photos and sorting them out really needs some time.

I always have the same problem when im packing my lugguage – spending too much time (i’ve no idea why). I’ve spent like 4 hours on it already but not a single item went into the lugguage itself. The lugguage itself is not even unzipped, its standing in the corner of my room. Things were strewn all over my bed, until my beloved mushrooms are buried =X Can this be considered as a Guiness Record? The record for the longest duration taken to pack a lugguage. LOL.
Anyway, what i wanted to blog about isnt about how long i took to pack my lugguage.
Its about FRIENDS.
Yeah, friends are the 2nd most important part in our life, next to family.
Because of my super/extreme introverted and shy nature, i really dont have that many friends. But hey, its the Quality that counts, not the Quantity isnt it?
So even though my circle of friends is small, im happy to say that i actually have quite a number of close/good/best friends.
I always had great fun whenever im out with them/chatting with them on msn, phone, sms-es or whatever activities that we are doing together.
It amazes me, that they are actually my 2nd brain. They (you all know who you are ) can, for example, (on msn) complete my sentences, even before i finish typing or even before i started typing!
They never fail to make me laugh with their nonsense, jokes etc and also never fail to give in to me, one example would be about the Botak Jones.
Anyway, to summarise everything, i just want to say:
My friends, even though i may have mood swings at times, ignoring you all, be evil at times - make fun of you all and so on, i just want to say that i really cherish the friendships that we have and that all you all have done or given me – understanding, care, concern and many more. Lets make our friendships last the way it is or even better ya?
I heart all of you my friends!
:)
Childhood
What do you love doing in your childhood? I think also cannot really remember already right? Especially those moments before the age of 4.
But one of the moments that i can really remember is that i was playing legos with my brother on the floor. My mum was a housewife then and she was on the phone sitting on the sofa, while ‘invigilating’ us. Then for dont know what reason i quarrel with my brother and that escalated into a fight. My mum broke the fight and we continued playing. Suddenly, one of the lego pieces flew under the sofa and i crawl in to pick it up. After i crawled out, i saw that theres this orange thingy on my forearm. I thought it was a carrot piece that landed there leh! LOL. I tried to pick it up but i realised it cannot come off then i realised it was a wound that i incurred while fighting with my brother. Heehee. Next? Of course i turn into 2 water taps la! Hahaha! Then of course both of us kenna scolding from mother la.
PS: This is not something that i loved (see the first sentence) doing in my childhood. Its just something that i really remembered up till now.
LOL.
Mum and i were in the car on the way home from PP just now when i did something stupid. Then mum said that it was something that a cartoon character did. I then commented that i didnt like watching cartoons now or even when i was young (eh, Power Rangers counted as cartoons not? I watched it every sunday morning leh). Haha.
Mum: Eh ya lor you never watch cartoons when you were small.
Me: Ya lor.
Mum: You watch advertisements one leh.
Me: HUH?! Hahaha. Really ah?
Mum: Ya la i somemore record and play for you to watch then you will sit there guai guai.
Me: Really ah? HAHAHAHA!
I really never knew that leh. Totally no hard elephant of it at all.
Hard elephant – Ying(4) Xiang(4)
So the next time you think im too noisy (which is impossible la), try hypnotising me till i return to the age of 4 then play advertisements for me to see!
HAHAHAHAHA!
Dont you just miss childhood?
I do (including the fights)!
Because i can turn into GO GO POWER RANGER!
HAHAHAHAHA!
