Superstar Aquarius

I went onboard the Superstar Aquarius on Thursday.

It was not the usual 3 days 2 nights cruise trip, rather, it was a one day trip. Actually not even 1 day, it was like 17 hours? Because we went on Thursday evening and came back on Friday morning. LOL. 

I remembered that my virgin cruise trip was on the Aquarius and think it was when im in primary 1 or 2. After that, it was all on Virgo. I went on this trip with 1/4 of the Sim family and with mummy’s friends. Surprisingly, there were no long queues while clearing immigration. I guess the reason being it was on a weekday.

We went to our cabins to put our bags down first, before heading for dinner.

This is the cabin that i shared with Cheryl. So nice right? Haha, usually when we go Virgo, it was a 4-person cabin, so the beds, instead of the ones you see in the picture, are double deckers. I just love this cabin!

After dinner, Cheryl and i just explored and walked around the ship, while the adults sat at the poolside deck and chit chat. I totally forgotten how the ship looks like when i first came but i think there were some major changes compared to the last time.  Hmm, the ship was pretty confusing in terms of the layout and we had difficulty looking for places that we wanted to go. It was also much smaller in comparison to the Virgo and i think we sort of finished exploring the ship in an hour’s time.

At 9pm, we went to the Star Lounge to watch the performance. I always love the acrobatic acts included in the performance and they always never fail to awe me with their acts. Super nice and incredible you know and they must have practiced for years to be able to do all these stunts.

Heh, after the performance, we went into the casino. Super huge, i think it was at least twice the size the one that Virgo has. Cheryl and i went to play the electronic roulette. We tried the electronic Big Small in Macau before and we loved it. Besides, the minimum bets for the electronic ones are not as much as the ones for the table games. Anyway, the kind of table games that i know how to play also very limited la. However, the minimum bet for the one we played also $30 leh. Haha, luckily my one piece of $50 lasted very long. At first i won $300+ then after that all lose back. Super heart pain. I initially wanted to stop when i hit $300, then i thought i should continue when i still have the luck and also see if Aquarius wanted to give me a bigger ’ang bao’ for my coming birthday not mah heh. So i continued but who knows in the end, i lost $38. Talk about being greedy la. Haha. Next time, win already must stop. If i had stopped at that, my purse would be fatter by $270. Hehe, but my aunt got give me $100 from her winnings, so actually counted as i won $62 huh? Hahahaha.

Talking about the adults, they super cute la. They pooled a sum of $6000 and scissors paper stone draw lots to see who would be the representative to take the sum of money to gamble. Haha. My dad was the representative and guess what? They won $23,000 in 10+ minutes leh. Wah seh, they super lucky.

After we are done with the casino, its bed time! Then we had breakfast the next morning before disembarking.

Overall, I personally feel that the Aquarius was pretty boring as compared to the Virgo. The Virgo has more activities for us to do, such as Bingo, played 3 times daily, which we always looked forward to among many others, like the Ice Cream Gallery or Games Room and so on. Nevertheless, it was still a nice trip.

One good news though. Superstar Virgo will be back in Singapore in October! If im not wrong, i think it sailed and stayed over at Hong Kong for quite a period of time already.

Im really looking forward to its coming back.
